I made acomment on The Australian forum that similarly pointed out that they can’t predict 24 hours (I’ve seen forecasts out by 10 degrees celcius – how many of those ould it take to upset the 50 – 100 year predictions, that are spposedly accurate to within 0.5 of a degree celcius?). So how can they be telling us they know what the average global temp will be in 50 – 100 years? ( Iknow I repeated myself there, but I’ve had a few…)

Which ENSO region are you looking at? If 1.2, rather than 3.4, you may be correct. 3.4 if looking unusually stable.
At the end of this animation the warm water pool around NE and N Australia has returned, plus a Tasman Sea heatwave. Let us see if the trend holds.

The big difference on the SST Anoms map is it got warmer between Oz and S S America. More heat was added as the days got longer and there was solar activity. Biggest flare of the cycle. In Nz the hot days had flares during the planetary alignments right on schedule.

My observations of the BOM’S forecasts are that they frequently forecast high temperatures which turn out to be significantly higher than the actual temperatures observed , and they almost never forecast very cold temperatures which are actually observed.
It is almost like they prefer to build in an upside bias to all their temperature forecasts , which are often not actually reached.
Unfortunately the observed temps get little media attention , while the hyperbolic forecasts of heatwaves and record high temps get massive media attention.
That is the “narrative” and to not adhere to that risks less money, less grants, firing of “reporters”.
Currently I also have noticed many BOM misses on the high temperature side. A decade ago I was told that the BOM forecasts were made from 7 computer models (2 are usually favoured) on their mainframe. I was told that the dominant and most favoured model was from the UK or the Northern Hemisphere. These models run daily and the favoured model used before an BOM weather forecast is adjusted manually by the available weatherman and delivered to whoever buys (under contract). The forecast bought by our company provided half hourly temperatures over the next 48hrs. Selection of the favoured model seems to be by BOM’s senior forecasters.
The narrative “change is caused by human activity” may in fact be true. We live in a spiritual world and through our action sin enters the world/universe, ever expanding the ‘wages of sin”. Death will soon be upon us. Repent for the time is near.

Got away from the pute for a half an hour and there was an X 4 solar flare. when I checked Solarham and Space Weather, No verbal reports yea or sat feeds to show it. The radio blackout map shows it now hitting mid S Pacific, it’s JUMBO!!
