The so-called gospel of Thomas is false. Read the Bible if you want to know God. Don’t fall for every false teacher who comes along. Anyone who tells you the road to heaven is a mystery or reached through secret knowledge is a flat out liar, bent on leading you astray. The truth is quite simple and out in the open.

If you belong to Jesus Christ, you can call directly on Him for help. No need to drag anyone else into it. If you draw close to Him, He will draw close to you, and you will stop asking silly questions. At least, one can hope so.

Having read the Bible and the early Church Fathers, and developed a personal relationship with Jesus Christ over a period of several decades, I doubt that your vision would have much to offer me. The Rapture is considered by some Christians to mean a nuclear war against Russia or China would be a beautiful thing.
Some people are Christians because the Lord is the only one who would forgive them.
Back to science, explaining that we observe.
Some people decide what they want to believe, then discard all evidence to the contrary. Both Christians and non Christians. It’s not possible to reason with such people.
A case in point: those who believed in global warming, and those who believed that Trump was coming to save us. Now I suppose those people believe in something just as ridiculous, and will not accept any evidence to the contrary. It’s a mindset. It’s called a closed mind.
Define Christian.

Just look at the results of keeping Him out of schools.
