Living in a remote area here in the Sierras & that I am basically an introvert, but enjoy being outgoing at times talking to people. I had to develop an extrovert nature to have my own business being in the residential construction. I have chosen to stand on the outside of life just observing at what has been going on since the 1970’s I use a term “ keep the sheep asleep “ we being the sheep that governments are controlling.

Just watched our local tv guy in Bakersfield & he is showing a list of the days of temps over 100 degrees for the last 6 years. 2021 was the hottest summer with 58 days over 1000 compared to this year which has 29 as of today.
Last nite we had a monsoon hit with dark clouds rolling in, thunder, lightning & rain. Temps dropped to a cold evening. This is rare weather for such a dramatic storm. Normal monsoon is just some lite grey clouds & a few minutes of lite rain. Sounded like the lightning was here in our little valley, not used to the booming.
Wife has been up in Idaho checking out areas we might move to. Guess I am a little lonely.

It’s very difficult to spot trends, especially long term ones, by watching the daily weather, but people try to do it anyway.
Here in Missouri the weather follows a rollercoaster pattern year round, up and down, up and down. Then we usually get a long hot spell in the summer and a long cold spell in the winter. We’re just coming off the long hot spell, upper 90’s, now we get the 70’s for a few days, then it’s heading up to the 80’s. Pretty normal, but the nighttime temps have been unusually cold.
I’m not going to predict a mini ice age based on that. I’ve been watching people do that for the last 20 years. I’ve just learned to be grateful for the good days, and live it one day at a time. I may switch to tea in the morning, tho. My brother tells me the coffee has gone sky high, as per Cap’s prediction.

I mowed grass today. Usually, the grass stops growing before heavy tree leaf falling begins. Not this year; one of my Bradford Pears has dumped a boatload of leaves already. The other three, not so much.
With this cooler weather, the leaves will likely drop heavier before I mow again. Maybe for the last time this season.

The time is set to Cap’s time in Portugal. My time zone is Central Daylight, and I’m 5 hours earlier than Cap’s time, I believe. It’s 11:10pm here right now.
It is the other way, Deb. Cap is 5 hours ahead of us.
It is not important but usually a site allows for listing your local time stamps.
“Ahead of us” means later.
So much for “kids will never see snow in India again” and so much for “Antarctica is a thing of the past” LOL. Very chilly this morning (Aug.27th) with temperature in the upper 40’s here in East TN.

I go by what Valentina Zarhkova and NASA have stated for years up to this year…5-10% colder than the Mini Ice Age/Maunder Minimum period.
