When reading the Weather News on the weather bug app the headline reads ‘Slight Relief Today for Great Basin, Heat Wave Continues to Cook the West”. When I look at the temperatures, it’s just typical summer weather that we are all going to die from.
Solely from the headlines, but I have all the information I need to declare your articles as misleading. The western side of the AUS Alps is still running +1 deg above the long-term July mean (and yes that’s raw data). Again- what “freeze” ?
It’s forecast to be -3 C overnight with heavy snow and high winds in the Australian Alps again tonight. Snow forecast Friday through Monday with a low of -7 C. Perisher and Thredbo resorts will have magical skiing from now, through the weekend, and into next week! We’ll be there 🙂
some parts of oz are in drought , but been a cold year to date in sw victoria ,,even without the normal rains ,cold mornings and nights wet summer ,march warm and dry ,bur no difference to the mid 1980″s
TX Gulf Coast has had one of the coldest Julys. Rain, rain, rain… and more rain, so no sun to heat us up to our normal 95 F. The highs have been low to mid 80s, at times more than 15 degrees below average. Last year were were under a heat dome and had heat for weeks. This year it’s been rainy and, thus, cooler.
No sun=No heat
But, wow, do we have mosquitos! Hurricane Beryl saturated the ground, and then 2 more weeks of rain means that this week, when the sun return, we will enter our normal “Sauna” period.
Long way to go until the rain and the snow come back to soak the dry forests, two or three months with solar flares forecast. We would get rain from Pacific typhoons they start down by Guam go by Japan across the Pacific to here. Watching typhoons is watching if we’re going to get rain here. Pacific hurricanes off W Mexico can go up by Hawaii and back to here and we get rain. A major typhoon in India will go up over the Himalayas get orographically modified and then go across the Pacific Ocean in an atmospheric river and we would get rain rain rain . That is the La Nina pattern, warm Indian Ocean heavy Monsoons up over the Himmmmalayas and low clouds rain here for weeks. Typhoons off Philippines go past Japan then across the Pacific O to here and put out the forest fires and fill our water table so my well doesn’t go dry.

That’s only the prediction for SC25 nothing beyond 2030 those are rounding numbers. Go debate Ben Davidson with that chart you got nothing. Au contraire. I live in the South East of Oz along with 75% of the population of the continent. It has certainly been very cold though frost and snow were slow to start. Average temp on my Davis system (setup in a paddock and fan ventilated) has been 10.1 C for winter so far. That’s 0.3 below the average of the last 14 years. We have not had a temp above 19.4C this winter which is very rare and I have never recorded a lower max for the first 2 months of winter. One must remember that the BOM in Oz cooks the books by inflating temps and using electronic thermometers that were found not to be able to record below -10C at the peak of the Snowies.
Sidney low temps ave 50f July BFD don’t even have to turn the furnace on at 50f. I try to cool my house down to 50f at night here right now let some air in already. Melbourne ave low 45f July BFD, perfect temp don’t even need to turn the furnace on or light a fire. Inland cooler BFD it’s not -22f and 20 feet of snowdrifts. https://www.accuweather.com/en/au/sydney/22889/july-weather/22889
We are enjoying almost spring time daily highs in late July here in Round Rock, Texas. I believe we have hit 100F only one time this summer. This is one of the coolest July’s that I recall in my 73 year lifetime. Also really appreciated Dr. Spencer’s take–so logical. He effectively has taken the statistical gun of the climate alarmists and turned it back on them. Beautiful, sound, logical argument. Thanks Cap.
In central Alberta we have had a week of temperatures above 30°C which set several local records. Now the heat done has moved on and it will be 11° on Friday morning. Summer was wonderful while it lasted.
We have had so little rain my wife began watering the grass. The raspberries are emerging in force because of the heat and a very wet spring. We have two sump pumps under the house. Neither has run once in calendar 2024. Casting a glance, the hay crop looks great. Second cut still to go. The canola is now flowering in vast carpets of yellow.
The town of Jasper is being evacuated because of fires. Last year a fire burned the main electricity cable supplying the town. Amazingly it was laid on the ground through a forest and, surprise, surprise, parted in a blaze.
In other news, the Trans Mountain Pipeline from Albert to the coast is now making more money than the Province of British Columbia which fought it for years. Now we can afford the bandages we need because of BC shooting us in the foot.
If you can induce a mama raccoon and her babies to live under your house, you will have no bugs. They get rid of scorpions, spiders, roaches and miscellaneous. Well worth the cat food to keep them around, and when regularly fed, they do not tear stuff up. Extremely intelligent. Can’t figure out why they were not domesticated along with cats and dogs. With their little human hands, I’ll bet you could teach them to wash dishes, lol! 🦝🥣🍴
I just watched Ben Davidson’s vid from three weeks ago on ‘Pole Shift Weather Impact’. It was all mumbo jumbo useless crap like always same rap over and over. I like the data feeds on his site like the Proton chart and the Electron charts, there’s two. Electrons follow protons. https://spaceweathernews.com/

What “freeze” ? It’s been nothing but heatwaves and short-lived, mediocre snow events this July in AUS.
Question: Do you have access to the articles or is your ‘critiquing’ derived solely from the headlines?

We’re supposed to be getting La Nina pretty soon, aren’t we? Maybe the pattern will shift soon.

Lmao last 14 years. Ofcourse it would be 0.3 below average if you’re using the last 124 years like your beloved bullshit artist Cap always does.
if you’re using the last 14 years* not 124 that was obviously a typo

Yes. I’m in Austin and loving the break from summer temps. It was hotter in May this year. I hope we get more rain to keep things green.

Let’s hope this cooler air keeps the crickets away from Texas!
When I lived in Charleston, I didn’t see too many crickets anymore but plenty of Palmetto Bugs. They could use some chilly air in July!

Yeah, he has lots of interesting raw data, but his personality is very off-putting.
As we speak, one of my raccoons is trying to get inside my cabin. He wants to join the family. I can’t allow that, much as the idea appeals to me.
Last night I had two moms with four cubs each at different times on my porch. Things are threatening to get out of hand. 🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝
