One such plan involves pumping seawater to the surface, allowing it to freeze and form a protective layer over the existing ice (as previously discussed).
Is it just me? If it is cold enough to to freeze sea water
wouldn’t it be frozen already?
Salt content…that keeps it from freezing down to +- 28F.
AND a large majority of the Freshwater is locked up in the ice cap.
AND…..If the Beaufort Gyre reverses…Mini to Maxi Ice Age here we come.
They want the Arctic to melt ASAP so they can transport products from the new Russia/China oil/ng port in the Arctic. Billions invested, years of work and sanctions to control supply. Products go East above Siberia then down past Alaska to China a shortcut saving thousands of miles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvy9usF7ohE&t=2s
They should be a go end of this week, ice melting N of Siberia 80F up there next weekend.
Earth box potato hive:
Anyone attempting survival gardening in solar minimum conditions with little or no experience may benefit from this growing array. You will be attempting to learn to grow in highly challenging conditions. High wind, heavy rain, hail and freezing temperatures to name a few.
I truly hope this design is a help to you if & when any failure becomes life threatening (ie) when the SHTF.
1. Eliminate all crawling insects easily
2. Reduce or eliminate weeding.
3. In a survival scenario, it saves calories & body moisture by avoiding the need for weeding. When calories are hard to come by, don’t burn them weeding.
4. Your time in garden is more productively spent pruning, harvesting & adding amendments.
5. No bending over.
6. Keeps crops from washing away.
7. Moderate flood resistants.
8. Keeps animals from laying down and crushing crops.
9. After adding a plastic cover some climate control is possible. Resistant to rain caused over watering, wind damage, frost & light hail damage. Extends your growing seasons.
10. Earth boxes take the guesswork out of watering.
11. Elimination of destruction by moles, voles, armadillos. Maybe not deer, opossums rats and mice.
12. Chickens can walk underneath.
If you have a basement or extra room, you could probably move those inside under lights in the winter. Might have to put a bucket or tray to catch overflow when you water.
My 4′ LED plant lights only take 40watts. (Can’t remember if that’s one or all three.)
A little trouble, but you could certainly grow greens and maybe even potatoes all winter. As long as there is some electricity for lights.
Deb you have a good point. The top level of the potato hive could benefit from a prefab gutter duct down
the center. Problem solved. I still want to build the pagoda style array anyway because of its very small foot print and large vertical growing benefits. Also easier to cover if necessary.
I just watched the video you linked to. It was actually your video. Surprise! You did a great job with those Earth Boxes.
I tried to save the video, but it’s one of those that requires you to sign up. Why is that? I don’t get it, and I don’t sign up for stuff on general principles. I can save plenty of videos without signing up, so what is the difference?
That was my first YouTube video. I made it for this site because some wanted to see pictures. Linda for one.
I think the number of likes matter. I plan to video the potato hive when planted probably in mid August. When I get the pagoda built I will send that on to this site also. YouTube seems to be the only way to send pictures.
This Hurricane/Typhoon Season forecast stronger than ave, from solar flares. Pointing this out proves they’re not from manmade climate change. USA property insurance companies went broke from the last two years storms from solar flares. You can’t get property insurance now and you can’t buy a house with no insurance it has killed the RE market.
Some years had less solar flares so there were less hurricanes, climate change would increase them every year. This year is not sposed to be one of those the Atlantic O and the Gulf of Mexico are warmer than ave from solar flares all year. Make a good movie about it you’d get customers from a large customer base. Typhoon Season is going to be gnarly look at the Ocean temps!! 88F, ready for lift and takeoff. Solar flares solar forcing bumps up the heat there is convection, rotation and it’s go time. Then sometimes there’s subsequent solar input and they go to Cat 5. Volcanic heat also in the equation. https://www.windy.com/-Sea-temperature-sst?sst,6.210,120.256,4,i:pressure,m:dM4ajMY
Ocean transport of goods across the Arctic Ocean is just another pipe dream. They can dream all they want but reliable ocean transport in the Arctic is just not possible. Besides the ice not melting as hoped, the infrastructure is just not there. It is a high risk area as even basic help is days away, if at all, if a ship gets in trouble. Even the Russians know all this as they are building huge Ice Breakers just to handle the existing basic minimal shipping in the Arctic. God forbid a massive Oil Tanker attempts to cross the Arctic.
DMI defines the Greenland melt season as starting on the first of 3 consecutive days when melting occurs over at least 5% of the ice sheet. This normally happens during the last week of May and they tweet the start date. So far they haven’t tweeted anything and I’m not convinced the melt season has even started this year. Looking at todays surface mass balance graphic the red patches seem to make up less than 5% of the total area and I can’t remember seeing large areas of red on any day this year. Is this going to be a record late start? http://www.nsidc.org/ice-sheets-today claim that on July 9 there was melting over about 15% of the ice sheet, clearly at odds with DMI and the melt season actually started during a brief melt spike in mid April. Are they guilty of data tampering to try and push an alarmist agenda? However with their change in the way sea ice volume is calculated, meaning the volume suddenly became a lot lower a couple of years ago DMI aren’t above making “adjustments” that fit with their preconceived ideas about what “should” be happening.
I looked…very LITTLE read BUT gains NW and Central.
Hey Congressman Hank Johnson…will Greenland sink now???
With the heavy snows all over the Northern Hemisphere that tells me two things…Honga Tonga water is now falling out of the Atmosphere and that the Air has cooled enuf to freeze that water.
SO…Hypothetically speaking, this Winter will be Cold & Snowier than normal…1 We haven’t had a good hard freeze here in South Central KY for several years. That leaves ticks and other bugs alive and 2 I kinda want to sled before I pass ga…on. 🤢😁😎😎
I save pics of every solar flare, they amaze me. Check out the heat they are causing on Windy temp map. 95F Germany next week, 123F Iraq.
You’ll be feeling the heat from them soon enough it’s not even Summer yet. I just saved a pic of a flare on the blue screen SOHO with Venus and Mercury some of God’s most beautiful work I’ve ever seen. Theat’s a rare shot with two planets, they are causing the solar flares from big alignments. The Electroverse.

I started reading Ice Age Now twelve years ago never missed a day.
I’m not sure where this reply is going to land. It’s in response to that link above of the mountains at sunset.
That New Mexican symbol of the sun is from an ancient pictograph, if I’m not mistaken. It shows two parallel rays shooting in all four directions. The photo from the cam delineates two distinct parallel rays going up and down.
I doubt the naked eye would see it that way. It’s probably the camera lens that gives that effect. So how did ancient man see it that way?
The valley between the cam and the volcano is a protected watershed reservoir providing water to millions. Low snowpack from solar flares is low water supply.
Three years ago we had a great snowpack in June, 180%. Fantastic.
Two weeks after they killed RF with the vax there was a heatwave that melted all the snowpack in three days.
They issued a HAARP Air Space Closure Alert in Alaska two days prior to the heatwave I saved it on my favorites and then kaboooom. 145F in Wenatchee? Heatwave death toll 1400 innocent souls. My blackberries are blooming and I still have a gallon in the freezer from last year so I’m going to eat those until the new berries get going then I start in grazing my fence line snacking and putting new crop in the freezer all summer.
Crab season opens July only three weeks out, start snacking on those till salmon season in mid August. start freezing as many salmon as possible for Winter months then the Fall salmon starts big in November bigger fish they smoke up very good.
My zuke plants are all happy they’ll be going all Summer I’ll be giving them away and freezing shredded for zuke bread. I have more zuke plants starting
Spuds are blooming. One sugarsnap pea plant already five feet tall they go to twelve feet tall and I plant more during Summer.
All systems go for a great rest of the year the Blue Herons and Bald Eagles flying over my house everyday happy it’s not La Nina just another normal year.
I used to have a zucchini bread recipe that was to die for. It called for a package of coconut cream pie filling, but I’m not sure what else. I lost it somewhere along the way. I’ll have to search the Internet. It was really moist and delicious!
Well, that was easy. This one sounds pretty good. They also mentioned pineapple/coconut, which also sounds good. I’m going to have to try these myself, tho I don’t eat much wheat these days.
I remain preferring the thoughts of the EV author, Cap. When he says solar flares may be causing severe and immediate terresterial climate event spikes, I will pay attention.

Solar flares melting our snowpack which is down to 23% of normal. It’s only June 10th. Snowpack will be gone by Summer, the rivers will go dry and all the salmon will die. My well will go dry and all my veggies I plant. Not good.

Look at the sun rising in that first link. It looks exactly like the state symbol of the state of New Mexico. It’s on all their license plates.
Sunset. Sunrise is on the left side,, nice one going on now. Check out the clouds going over Mt Ranier coming in off the Pacific Ocean. The cam is at 7000 feet and the snow melted during the last week. An average snowpack and no solar flares there would be feet of snow at that elevation.
https://storage.roundshot.com/5d8367d3a33008.07256823/2024-06-11/06-00-00/2024-06-11-06-00-00_default.jpg
Those clouds should drop some rain as they go over the mountain. It will fall mainly on the west side, tho. That’s why the east side is desert.
