I think it was Solyndra? the solar company, got a huge sum of money, then went bankrupt bet NOT before a load of Democrat investors got their share. These things are criminal, and those who are doing this should be brought to justice. (somehow) But people keep voting them in. OR: do they vote them in? Hi Cap, what is the weather in south eastern Australia? I have found it is a high percentage indicator for the weather six month out in NW Oregon. They had a cold wet winter in Australia, and now we are having the same. Curious if you have a favorite site for weather info down under, other than the untrustworthy Australia government bureau.

I have lived in Alberta since I was 10, in 1967. I have never seen temperatures go this low in Central Alberta – Edmonton to Calgary corridor. These temperatures are just one more confirmation of the GSM taking hold of the planet. As a human, when I look at the photos of the earth taken from probes swinging around Earth’s gravitational forces to gain speed, I am humbled by just how prideful we all are to think for a moment that man’s activity has anything to do with climate. When the sun’s protective energy radiating around us, gets to its lowest rate, God only, knows what the cosmic energy of the universe will have upon the planet. In some words, “the sun will go dark”, can describe the thermostat being turned down on the sun’s output. The -45C and wind building that low to -55C was so cold, it is difficult to describe. I held the metal door handle, on the inside of the screen door, for more than 5 seconds and received a cold-burn to my fingers and hand. The cold air, seeps instantly through any clothing. Opening the door of the Ford Excursion feels like it will crumbled in my hands. Sitting on the seat is like sitting up high upon a mountain rock. Turning the key, even though plugged in with full charge on two 880 amp batteries, gives me a…Wau…Wau…Wau. This is surreal. It is exactly like the Arctic stories when those up there said, “we can never shut the vehicles off…otherwise they will never start”. That is what it was like here, the past week. And this is just Year #3 of the GSM.
My Wife’s 2003 Chevy Silverado pu battery went bye bye. So I am gonna buy a new one…$125 bucks and get it hot again. AND it is just +9°F in Metcalfe County KY!
We have registered -24°F in the 1993 Ice Storm…now that is 🥶!!!

Honest question. To live in Mendoza, Argentina (30′ longitude, 900m) during GSM. How big will be the challenge in regard of temperatur? Any ideas? Please share your knowledge as I really want to prepare for my family.

It is possible the Northern Hemisphere and Southern hemisphere will have differing outcomes during your lifetime as perihelion is during the Southern Summer and the Southern Hemisphere is predominantly ocean surface.
The Northern continental land masses do not store heat energy as the ocean does.
The peak temperatures of Southern Summer are late January. Once perihelion is after that date the long cold will start chilling the Southern oceans.
56 years x 20 days perihelion progression =1120 years.
Check out the civilizations that perished from lack of water 4000 years ago. Cold SST’s equals water shortages.

Correction. Cold SST’s can lead to more significant droughts in some areas.

Check out the known history of your area. The drought of the 1870’s, did that affect your area?
