I’ve heard it all now!!
First we had ‘Global warming causes more snow’. Except the armageddonists forgot the other main ingredient for snow which is cold!
And now, because if man-made CO2 warming we could have a new ice age!
Yup!
And in their science they ecen say the AMOC (Atlantic Multidecadal Overturning Current)- the Gulf Stream is a self regulating ocean current.
But now, because of a harmless inert gas- CO2- the Gulf Stream will collapse & the Beaufort Gyre will implode and we’re all going to freeze a-la Day After Tomorrow styley.
The AMOC, PDO, AMO & El-Nino/La-Nina all have cycles. And all these cycles create our weather. Include a cooling Sun, it’ll get chilly.
We NEED lots of CO2 for plantlife because without that the world will be goosed!
In one breathe they say sea levels will rise because of the AMOC collapse and that the northern hemisphere will freeze.
But, wouldn’t a freezing NH create more ice sucking up excess sea water and dump more snow (water) on land?
Maybe, just maybe, we are ending the ‘Modern Warming Cycle’ that has dominated most of the past 120+ years and are going into a cooling cycle- The Eddy Minimum.

Every one degree Celsius increase in temperature produces 10% to 25% increase of evaporation. Of course warmer sea temperatures produce more snow and rain. Geez….
The Texas deep freeze was three years ago this week, I was posting comments at Ice Age Now at the time doing play by plays of the event. The storm came through here on the way to Texas, it was from solar flares. Two cyclones from the solar flares went to Canada, I tracked the Pacific cyclone all the way across the Ocean, there was 28 feet of snow forecast in Alaska and the storm was headed here. I tracked cyclones in the US Navy 48 years ago before I studied weather in college. I can find a clip from the Weather Channel that showed it, the cold air was pulled down center of NA mass to the Gulf of Mexico. The big cold snap USA last month was from cyclones from solar flares. Biggest flare of the cycle from planetary alignments that I pointed out here last Summer that were scheduled. for the Holidays. Dec ’24 there’s more. US deep freeze last month, there were two cyclones, Pacific and Atlantic that caused ultra high pressure in N Canada. A cyclone came up from Mexico to Hudson Bay and pulled cold air down center of NA mass to the Gulf of Mexico. The three cyclones were from heat from the biggest solar flare of the cycle.

Interesting how the news media just sweep facts under the table. At least here, with Cap, we have what really is going on. In time, I think folks will figure out what is really getting cold. Grand Solar Minimums are not pleasant times. Go back and review climate and weather conditions during the Marauder and Dalton Minimums. This country was very sparsely populated during these Minimums. However, there is considerable information on conditions in Europe and China.
Cap, for the record, we’re living near Edmonton Alberta had a 100.8 degrees F increase in temperature in a few days, almost two weeks. For me, that was a record.
The town of Edson set a new cold record of -46.5 C which was 11.5 C lower than the previous cold record! That is 20.7 F.
Alberta has about 1000 wind turbines providing 9% of the electricity. At -30 C they disconnected from the grid, but only as far as output is concerned. They remained connected to the grid to draw electricity to keep the nacelle and gearbox heated. They also have a motor to turn the huge blades slowly because the main shaft cannot sit in one position for a long time or it will sag.
So the draw to keep them heated was part of the record setting load of 12.5 GW which happened on two nights, Thursday and Saturday. On the latter we all received an emergency text begging us to turn things off, stop charging cars, no drying clothes and so on. They did not ask to have the turbines disconnect.
I advise that if the turbines shut off they must also disconnect until there is spare capacity available to warm them again. Alternatively they must provide their own heating system. When we are in a crisis we should not be load shedding homes to keep 1000 wind turbines warm.
Feb ’87 I drove to ski Tahoe from Seattle, saw a big storm headed there on the noon news weather sat. That’s all we had back then, no internet. Drove all night and beat the storm and it snowed five feet in three days all the roads closed. They opened back up, I split then it snowed nine feet. Snow forecast here NW US tonight from the Pacific Ocean to Miles City Montana. SO2 in the mix from Kamchatka and Hawaii volcanos, from solar flares. There wasn’t any snow in the forecast a few days ago, the models can’t predict what solar flares and volcanos are going to do that change the patterns.
