There is the rest of Oz enjoying this winter chilling, and down here in the far southeast we have barely seen a frost. A couple last week and that’s it. I blame Global Warming; just this week anyway.
And where were these 66% of stations? I’ll tell you where. In Missouri, that’s where! And why? Because I’m waiting for cool summers, that’s why. Blame it on me. It’s all my fault.
If I had been freaking out about the predicted solar minimum and dreading cold weather, they’d be topping out at 40F by now. Because life is contrary, that’s why. At least mine is.
Dirk- did it do any good to wrap your head in duct tape? If the temp and humidity keep reading the same here, I might try that, because that kind of weather is what makes my head explode. That, and the d*mned bug bites!!! Ticks and chiggers and mosquitoes. I’m not willing to poison the daylights out of myself and my environment, so every summer here in Bugtussle, I become a bugs’ buffet. Itch, itch, itch!
Chiggers are my Number One enemy in Summer. I could be in a boat by myself in the middle of the Pacific and the only Chugger there would find me…I HATE🤬 CHIGGERS!!!
Anyway Peppermint, Eucalyptus and other herbs keep bugs off…and ya smell good to Hon😁❤️! Fir the bites Plantain crushed and rubbed on the bite stops the itching fir HOURS❤️❤️❤️! I use it and it works! Free too. Have a good day Deb.😊
Duct tape will be Sunday night it’s 52F here now fans on full cooling the house down since 2am. Saltwater temp here 53F it cools here at night to that temp. Baseline. Go inland it retains the heat. If I go jump in the bay I get hypothermia in half an hour. Winter it keeps us warmer. Center of mass most extremes. https://www.windy.com/-Menu/menu?sst,47.955,-123.071,9,i:pressure,m:eZCacJ8
My car was on Streetview for a while at that location on a hot day when I was getting away from the heat here. 40 degree difference in 50 miles gives ya a NW breeze off the water at 7mph. Air. Heat comes up from the South here. Big basalt mountain behind me heats up in the sun.. Mountain to the n blocks the heat. Microclimates. Thermodynamics. Same concept UK ocean water 52F.
Hotter the heat inland the more it pulls cool air off the ocean. Ignore the heatwave from solar flares just look at the cold fronts. Lows London 52F ambient sea level temp highs in the 70s forecast. BFD. Scewed clickbait drivel https://www.accuweather.com/en/gb/london/ec4a-2/july-weather/328328
Deb Dear…a Solar Minimum means that Overall it gets colder. BUT some areas, Your location, will get hotter cuz of the extreme waves in the Jet Streams. Now I did Boot Camp at Ft. Leonard Wood MO April 1972 and it snowed the first nite and during AIT, Combat Engineer training, it was ALL STOP cuz of 95°F and Humidity of 68%😱! Read about the Maunder Minimum and understand what happens during Solar Minimum…AND blame Eddy if the EDDY MINIMUM for your ‘condition’ Dear 🤪❤️ But you have AC so stay cool 🥶 and Have a good Summer!
Not in a Maunder min ’09 was the low we lived through it now it’s hot. The waves are from heat from solar flares. When the flares stop we go zonal.
Heat from solar flare going up into Russia, UK is in the cold front next to Greenland the freezer. Small flare caused a record hurricane from warmer than ave Atlantic from solar flares hitting our weak mag shield. https://www.windy.com/-Temperature-temp?temp,41.579,47.515,4,i:pressure,m:fgIahzJ
People dying of heat on the West Coast US not important news only cold news is important. People UK putting on a sweater is much worse than dying from heatstroke because more people die of cold Record Atlantic hurricane not important news only cold news matters. The heat forecast here got way worser since yesterday, not important though it’s not cold news.
I went out at low tide on the tide flats across the street and got my legal limit of clams, crabs and oysters no boat required. Fresh peapods and zukes popping out in the sun all systems go. Cooler forecast up North by the Straits of Juan de Fuca where the Pacific O comes in it’s deep cold water. Over 100F forecast here but 50 miles North only 67F nice NW breeze off the salt water. Guess where I’m going??? https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/port-townsend/98368/july-weather/336357 https://www.google.com/maps/@48.098305,-122.6919133,3a,75y,29.92h,80.37t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sAF1QipMd0wwItjwPn8gt_rpCF3cC-RHQ1rZ7YayGbB4Q!2e10!7i10000!8i5000?coh=205409&entry=ttu
Don’t forget to subtract from the warm bias for the automated sensors they installed in Australia. They have a warm bias of .7C (1.2F).
So correcting for that factor, the actual temperature would be In Tasmania, Liawenee set a new record low for the third consecutive day, with -14.2C (6.4F) logged early Thursday morning — the coldest ever July reading in the area, after yesterday’s -13.6C (7.5F) and -11.5C (11.3F) the day before.
It is also the state’s second-coldest temperature ever, behind the -14.2C (6.4F) set back in August 2020.
The last paragraph is probably correct since the automatic sensors were not yet installed in Australia in 2020??
Temperature Records: Has anyone compared, over time, the “recorded” trends between the active temperature stations and the non-existent temperature stations?
Where temperature is concerned, NOAA has become the Faker-in-Chief. It would be rather damning if the aggregate data from the active temp stations shows temps flat or declining slightly but the data from the non-existent or non-reporting stations says temperatures ares rising.
You’ve been on realclimatescience.com!!!👍
Good everybody here needs to visit Tony Hellers site. And I am trying to get Trump to have Tony as his Atmospheric Climate Advisor. That would
Uld drive the Left coo coo for Coco Puffs!
On rooftops, next or on blacktop parking lots, on the Southern side of a building next to an AC Unit or ……..
You get the idea. Meteorological stations are supposed to be placed just like our KY MESONET station in Metcalfe County KY. In a grass field near a grove of trees far away from the road an no houses, buildings near it.
Eighteen years ago we were putting on twenty two miles of natural gas pipeline. Forty two inch diameter steel pipe each pipe was eighty feet long. Six days a week ten hour days. We started at the Canadian border fence went twenty two miles in fourteen weeks. I would leave a 4:30am and drive a hundred miles to the job. I ran an old Cat D6 bulldozer with two welding machines. The dozer motor a 671 ran at full throttle there was no cab on the dozer. Working out in the heat all day the noise was extra loud. Hardhat with earmuff noise protection. Four other dozers had side booms put two sticks together and the welders put two beads on each set. We were working on top of a live twenty four inch NG pipe that feeds the West Coast. The new pipe went in next to the live line from Canada, eh? One spark on the live line would blow up many square blocks. At the end of the job I had two 97 hours a week checks in a row. Long hot summers running heavy equipment no Ac the machine is running way over 200F hop off and shovel crushed rock we put in forty miles of sidewalks one company three summers road widening all new catch basins. Tonnage truck and pup dump trucks rock and roll and pave double shifts six days a week. Rather be running a snowcat in fresh powder snow.
I don’t know how you even come up with the channeling crap you’re saying I’m making this stuff up is beyond an insult. God wanted me to build things so I built things. It would take months of driving around to go see all the things I helped build. 48 public school contracts I kept track. Lost track of how many baseball fields I built from scratch, football and soccer fields too. We changed a lot to Astroturf from existing grass fields at High School Stadiums winter and summer cold and hot get er done..
I posted comments fourteen hours ago at dawn nice sunrise shot at Crystal Mtn.
Y2k you were climbing Mt Hood I was widening Pacific Highway 99 in heavy traffic Three mile job we added a lane on both sides and put in new driveways and sidewalks all new storm drains. Summer’s here West Coast US where people are going to die from heat this weekend.
Gee, you guys are the nicest illusion a girl ever had!
Here’s a peaceful piece of music, if you like that sort of thing. (Dirk-if you don’t like it, bite your tongue. It’s good practice for you.)

Exactly how do we know any of this info is on the up and up?
The entire fed govt is corrupt. NASA and NOAA are part of the fed govt. QED.
Like it or not there’s the updated chart and data, El Nino over.
Tell the Brits that summer is alive and well in Missouri and they can have it if they want to come and get it (beware the chiggers).
118F forecast Redding California, 104 Portland Oregon, 115F Eastern Washington. Record hot here till Wednesday the heat forecast extened and got hotter. None of this was forecast last Wednesday on the 10 day forecast. High was 82F on that for one day. Had electron spikes, solar wind spikes.
