14 Thoughts to “Canberra’s Coldest Spring Morning On Record; Europe’s Historic September Snowfall Turns Deadly; + X4.5 Flare To Deliver Earth Glancing Blow”
“…build the cleaner, brighter future that will slash emissions, cut bills and create the well-paid jobs of tomorrow”
–Electricity bills will skyrocket [more] amd jobs will disappear.
The mine would of produced coking coal that’s used in steel production rather than to generate electricity so the permit being revoked won’t affect electricity prices. Given that the previous government announced £100smilions in grant for are last blast furnaces to convert to electric arc furnaces that produce steel from scrap metal, leading to the loss of thousands of jobs the damage from this agenda driven decision will, fortunately, be fairly small. What has been lost is the possibility that several hundred well paid jobs would be created in a part of the country with very high levels of unemployment.
Actually, I’m suffering from seasonal discontent due to the inheritance of large amounts of nomadic DNA. Shorter days trigger a deep sense of displeasure with my current life, whatever it is, and an equally deep desire to leave it all behind, move on and start over somewhere else. This is a survival trait for nomads to escape the coming winter, but is not very helpful in my present circumstances. When I was younger, I followed this prompting many times. I can’t go now, but I still feel a strong pull to get on the road. It makes me irritable and fed up with everything. Once winter comes, it will go away. I suspect it is some such prompting that causes nomadic creatures ( humans included) to pick up stakes and move out in the face of winter. It also encouages an increase in carb consumption, obviously a survival trait to withstand the lean winter months. Except they are no longer lean for many of us, contributing only to avoirdupois.
Thank you for being yourself so I don’t have to go to the trouble of revising my opinion of you. I can just say to myself, ” That’s merely Dirk being a jerk.” Or “That’s Dirk blowing hot air due to solar flares”.
I heard on a mainstream media radio report that the floods in Romania (in the same system also affecting Czechia, Slovakia, and Poland) are being blamed on “changing climate patterns.” What else is new?!

I was just moving my rocket stove this morning to make it more accessible. So if something eats the 🌞, I’ll still be cookin’! 🔥🪚🪵☕👍😄
Oh, I forgot. Here’s a pic of the space monster about to eat the sun. Don’t know why I was thinking weather is dull.

A space monster ate your brain and took a poop in your head.
That’s as good an explanation as anything 🤪😱🤪!

Dirk pull your head in those comments are completely unacceptable. Your bloody disgrace!
A timbermill here in New Zealand is firing up its coal-burning facilities due to the high price of electricity. Lucky it didn’t demolish them!
