Don, I have no particular knowledge of Canadian farming, food production, forestry, stream and pond freeze overs, general snow cover and human transportation.
I can only imagine climate and living conditions were much more hostile during the Little Ice Age, conditions which may be repeated if not worse in coming decades.
The Canadian grape growing region which was devastating is a wake up call to all grape regions.Grapes,fruits and nuts are the first to suffer in a cooling climate. Frosts hit vineyards in France last year.Brazilian coffee region hit by frosts this year.Russian wheat harvest also hit this year.if it was a warming climate agriculture would not be affected.Would it?
