The book series One Second After. which I’ve read a few times, nobody survived in the areas where they depend on AC to survive. Everybody dead from heat.
The 5 Day Forecast here went crazy on Accuweather calling for record heat until Tuesday. Windy.com has temps lower but the forecast is totally different than yesterday’s 5 Day Forecast temps way warmer. Heatwave, I wish it was for record cold and rain like ’09 and ’10 but it’s not it’s for record hot AGAIN record hot/dry last three Summers. I can’t sleep when it’s hot makes me very crabby.
We no longer build to deal with heat. The old time houses had lots of shade trees, high ceilings for the heat to rise and extensive walk-out basements.
My Mom said they lived in the basement in the summertime. No AC in her day.

I would claim a senior moment, but young people are also having cognitive difficulties these days. I think it’s the 5G and it’s unspoken of big brothers.

Mad Max here for a long time already. 14 years ago the stole the ground cable off the new Light Rail Train. 20 years ago we could not keep machines from being stolen on jobsites, Bobcats the worst. 70% of heavy equipment being stolen off jobs per Sherrif Dept. 35 years ago couldn’t keep electrical wire spools in our storage containers from thieves. We ran out miles of wire a day putting in underground electrical. There was 200 homeless living on the Freeway Interchange we were building in Tacoma back then. New Clover Leaf off ramps from I-5. Nightmare. Now we’ve been invaded they opened the border criminals from all over the planet.
