A rare polar bear that was spotted outside a cottage in a remote village in Iceland was shot by police after being considered a threat, authorities said Friday.
The bear was killed Thursday afternoon in the northwest of Iceland after police consulted the Environment Agency, which declined to have the animal relocated, Westfjords Police Chief Helgi Jensson told The Associated Press.
“It’s not something we like to do,” Jensson said. “In this case, as you can see in the picture, the bear was very close to a summer house. There was an old woman in there.”
The owner, who was alone, was frightened and locked herself upstairs as the bear rummaged through her garbage, Jensson said. She contacted her daughter in Reykjavik, the nation’s capital, by satellite link, and called for help.
“She stayed there,” Jensson said, adding that other summer residents in the area had gone home. “She knew the danger.”
The greatest scandal in history is the satellite data official report. THAT has been whitewashed by NOAA since the 90s. There has been a cooling trend ever since that time. Even on some of the warm years such as 98, 2016 and 2023, those El-Nino years weren’t as high as shown on the satellite chart. Each of them were immediately followed by rapid cooling as soon as the El-Nino ended. The line should show an overall downward trend since 1995. The chart is warm biased since the mid 90s because most land and continental locations have turned colder since in rural areas. Ocean temps may have shown a different result since that time, but even that appears to be on a significant downward trend in the past year now. No doubt that the climate is trending colder and snowier since the mid 90s. If it was true what the actual data is showing, sea levels would have increased. The opposite is occurring since the mid 90s. There has been a decline in sea levels since. Now with rapidly growing ice in the Arctic, Greenland and Antarctica overall in recent years, the trend has been clearly downward in regards to temperatures globally since about the mid 90s. Bottom line: Don’t believe your government!

The polarities of the Sun are not stable at the poles. N polarity has pushed all the way S. It needs to bounce back up N to get to solar min. S polarity needs to go back down under, it’s pushed up above the equator. Wavy centerline and also an island of N in the S region, same one for a year. Mixed. Volatility. Can’t have stability when the polarities are this chaotic. Solar max, chaotic polarities, chaotic planet.
