  1. When scientists’ research results are incorrect, scientists stop answering questions from the media:

scientist has recently stopped responding to media inquiries regarding his past claims.
Latif also claimed he recalled snow in the past occurring at Easter time, implying this no longer happens today. But that too was a false claim. perhaps prof. Latif will answer phone calls in April?

        1. Spinky-

Why don’t you research the number of times we have been told in the last ten years that the financial apocalypse is upon us. I’ll bet you run out of fingers and toes.

          1. Inflation shrinks money. It happens slowly.
Are you getting less goods for your money?
Inflation may start to increase faster.

          2. 108,435 US job cuts in January. That’s double the number from December and the highest since the recession of 2009.
Higher unemployment means less tax revenue for the government.
            This is just the beginning.

Colder summer 2026 will result in smaller harvests.
Colder and snowier winter will cause increased costs.

          1. Can budget down to size create deflation?
There are investments that provide returns and investments that cause increased costs.
Which category do the following belong to?
The Arc, ballroom, space force, Trump-class battleship.
The Golden Dome as a defense against incoming threats can be a good investment in a world of war.

    1. If Greenland is becoming a hot property, it’s because of the prospect of USA capitalism ventures.

If they embraced capitalism instead of socialism, Europe could have boosted the same enthusiasm. Even Finland alone could have, on some scale.

Along with Mining and Fishing/Seafood, Tourism–
Tourism & hospitality – Driven by Arctic tourism and eco-lodges.

And, imo, luxury cruise excursions, the same as in Alaska.

    2. No melting on Greenland. There are volcanos UNDER the ice in Antarctica but that is natural melting. BUT the South Pole is getting colder so the heat below will not affect the ice/snow.

    1. Was it hot water that was shot up high.
Did the water come back down again when it had cooled down.
      Like a hot air balloon.

        1. Natural Law explain how water molecules expand from heat:

If the air is in a balloon, heating it will expand the balloon, cooling it will cause the balloon to shrink as the molecules slow down. If the heated air is surrounded by nothing but air, it will push the surrounding air aside. As a result, the amount of air in a particular “box” decreases when the air is heated if the air is free to escape from the box. In the free atmosphere, the air’s density decreases as the air is heated.

  2. I had to look it up: One teragram = 1 trillion grams or about 2.2 million pounds.

Crazy. A big undersea volcano warmed the earth, temporarily. A big above ground volcano cools the earth, temporarily.

  3. Easiest to use metrics
One cubic meter of water @ 4.3 degrees Celsius and at one atmosphere equals one metric ton.
One cubic kilometer of water equals one gigaton.
The snow mass balance of Greenland is measured in gigatons.

A curiosity about Hunga Tonga is the volcanic temperature is too low to cause the dissociation of water molecules but with the pressure from the depth of the eruption would that cause dissociation?
She certainly made a lot of noise about something.
One liter of water weighs one kilogram.

    1. Why did the Earth’s average temperature increase when there was more water vapor in the stratosphere?
Did the stratosphere become clearer and let more solar radiation through to reach ground level?

Why doesn’t the higher average temperature that was created stay on Earth?
Where does the heat energy go when the Earth’s average temperature decreases?
Is there an unknown temperature stabilizing factor that causes the Earth’s average temperature to return to its previous average temperature?

      1. Sea surface temperature and the overturning of warm surface water which is then buried in deeper thermocline areas is the great regulator of global average temperatures.

Of course, this is not to discount the atmospheric cells, El Nino etc.
There is always/usually a global temperature dip during the 18.6 year major lunar standstill or the year either side of this due to the moon’s gravitational influence on oceanic currents and sea surface overturning during this period.

        1. Latest UAH Temperature increased by 0.8 degrees Celsius in 2023-2024. Then decreased by 0.4 degrees Celsius.
Has this 0.4 degrees Celsius temperature decrease ended up in the deep ocean?

        2. Climate scientists explain that the Earth’s energy balance has been changed by greenhouse gases.

How do climate scientists explain that the Earth’s average temperature has decreased by 0.4 degrees Celsius with the explanation of the Earth’s energy balance?
Where has the heat energy gone in the Earth’s energy balance?:

The Earth climate system is out of energy balance as a result of human-induced climate change. Heat has accumulated continuously over the past decades, warming the ocean, the land, the cryosphere, and the atmosphere.
A new study, ‘Heat stored in the Earth system 1960-2020: where does the energy go?’ shows that the Earth Energy Imbalance continues to grow, and has risen by nearly 50% over the past 14 years in comparison to the amount accumulated over the last half of a decade.

          1. Spinky. I was going to reply to your question but then you went and threw the above comment utter bullshit into the communication so I will not waste my energy.

          2. I wrote an example of the energy balance theory not working.
The scientists energy balance explanation only works when the average temperature is constantly rising.

  4. There is always heat loss from earth to the surrounding space. When flying ive seen temperature measurements outside airplanes at 40000 feet elevation in winter of -70F. There’s a balance between incoming solar heat and heat loss. For the 3 days following 9/11 when no commercial traffic was allowed in the USA temperatures increased because there were no contrails. If the sun went dark the whole earth would go subzero in a very short time.due to heat losses

    1. Is there any evidence that El Niño is raising the Earth’s average temperature?
It was El Niño that caused the global average temperature to increase in 2023-2024 according to AI.
The 2022 eruption of the Hunga volcano had no impact on the Earth’s average temperature according to AI.
Did AI give the correct answer?:

2023-2024 Impact: The 2023–2024 El Niño was a key driver in making 2023, and potentially 2024, the hottest years on record.

  5. Takes me back. I used to visit Erie Pennsylvania (from Australia) on business in the late 70’s and early 1980’s and ice fishing was a regular winter weekend hobby. The guys would take skidoos out, set up a tent on the ice, drill a hole and fish.

    1. We had some brutal winters in the late 60’s and 70’s, but nobody used to fuss about it in those days. They expected winter to be cold. Nowadays, people take cold weather in the winter like a personal affront!
