Watched the movie and no surprises at all. What else is new.
Money makes the world go round. Nothing has changed at all.
Kind of sad to see all those wonderful scientists grabbing the money and sell themselves to the highest bidder.
The climate the movie is great. But I miss the link to the comming grand solar minimum. And in my oppinion it’s a serious problem, because the people aren’t aware of what’s going on at all!
Because of this ignorance and neglected education in natural sciences and maths we‘re going to face difficult times with all this green energy nonsense.
Spring Chinook season open now, catch herring for bait. Catch dungeness crabs limit 12 per day. Catch ling cod, now open, limit two per day and rock fish, dozen limit. Drop prawn traps mouth of Columbia R limit 25lbs per person open year round now selling for $25 a lb.
Buy the boat in fresh water, no salt water damage. Drift down river anchor out by the coast use a skiff and keep a vehicle on shore. Low overhead summer vacation package.
Gee, Dirk, I’m sold, but I’d have to hook up with a sailor first because I know nothing about boats, lol! But you make it sound mighty attractive. Are you a travel agent?
Dirk-
You sure know how to push my buttons. I like the idea, but as usual, the devil’s in the details. I don’t have $25,000 or even $10,000 laying around. Just had to borrow against my life policy to finance an AC for my motorhome.
If the grid goes down, I’ll probably die from the heat here, but if it goes down when I’m in a boat, I’ll get washed out to sea.
I’m still hoping God will simply drop a tree on me when it’s my time.
I little unrelated but, … very warm across northern Canada (Whitehorse, Yellowknife, and Iqaluit) again this week. This year has been extraordinary across this region. It will be interesting to observe next year’s actual temperatures. Thanks,Peter.
What exactly is actually renewable in so called “renewable” energy?? Not solar panels that have to be replaced, not the windmills that must be replaced, so what? Misinformation…
It seems highly likely that the Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) entered it’s negative, or cool, phase about 5 years ago. The cool phase sees more La Nina’s, although there’s still the occaisional El Nino so the recent El Nino isn’t proof that PDO isn’t in it’s cool phase. The last time the PDO was negative was roughly 1950-1980 and there was global cooling and all the media stories about the next ice age coming. The transition to a PDO warm phase corresponded with the relatively rapid rise in temperatures between roughly 1980 and 2000 followed by a long pause then slight rise in 2015-16.
I don’t doubt that the sun has a large effect on global average temperatures but think this tends to occour on time scales of at least 50-100 years. On shorter time scales, e.g. 2-3 decades I’m sure ocean cycles have a greater effect.
The climate movie was a breath of fresh air..excuse the pun..in a storm of absolute propaganda. It is much appreciated.
I have a question for experts here that I would like clarified: the Beer-Lambert Law seems to indicate that LWIR WILL be 90% absorbed by CO2 at wavelength of absorption (15.5 microns) within 5 meters of the ground. I know it is an interesting lab experiment, but is it relevant to AGW?
re. hail damage to solar panels.
We live in coastal Central Queensland, Australia. No hail that I am aware of in past 25 years here. However planning for the future under a blackouts scenario (government grid here to rely entirely on wind and solar + batteries) and possible wild weather/changed patterns it is now clear to me that relying on unprotected rooftop solar panels is not a foolproof answer for our house.

What movie?
The last item in today’s posting.
Cap Allon, Can you get an update from Professor Valentina Zharkova about the climate change she predicted back in 2014,please

Will La Nina affect the weather in Missouri, or can we expect a hot summer to match our warm winter?

Like a motorhome for the water. Interesting thought.

I suddenly realized why people live in boats. No lot rent. So far, the water is free. Are you getting a commission on the boat?
Cool fresh breeze instead of 120F in MO from X flares hitting our weak mag shield Thousands of boats on CL W Coast as viable lifesaving exit strategies.

Do boats have refrigerators? I spoke you’re going to want tater salad with all that seafood, lol.😏
AI didn’t like the word “spose”, I spose.

But I’ll stock up on Dramamine, just in case!😘
