I Will say it again and again: drag shell and exon mobile into court and go for it so stop talking and start acting for once for God sake the world is burning according to that idiot of UN.
Here’s my proposal for the next phase of this game. The fossil fuel producers, either individually or through trade associations, should pick a state, logically a relatively small one (Vermont might be a good place to start), and go to the legislature with this proposition: Ban us! Make the sale or use of fossil fuels in your state illegal, starting at some early date, like for example tomorrow. We will then withdraw. And your citizens will then find out whether they prefer life with fossil fuels, or without them.
In other words, stop being such pansies. It’s time to call their
The cold swept the entire western half of Russia.
Precipitation in the form of snow is observed in the North-West, Central Russia, the Volga region, the Urals, Western and Central Siberia and the North Caucasus. Blizzards are occurring in the Russian north, the Polar Urals and northern Siberia. In middle latitudes, snow cover, which was rare for this time, was restored. Overnight frosts returned to the South. https://www.gismeteo.ru/news/weather/holodnaya-pogoda-ohvatila-vsju-zapadnuju-polovinu-rossii/

In Moscow, very cold weather will continue and wet snow is not excluded.
For almost the entire week, the temperature will be 10 degrees below normal, that is, like the beginning of April.
A slight warming can be counted on from May 10th. Daytime temperatures can reach between 13°C, but the nights will be cold with light frosts, at the end of the long weekend the chance of frost decreases. https://www.hmn.ru/index.php?index=1&ts=240506121220

Frost and snow are expected in St. Petersburg.
At the end of last week, Arctic cold blanketed Russia’s European territory. On the night of May 3, in the Leningrad region, frosts down to -4…-5°C were noted in some places. Arctic air spreads from the Kara and Barents Seas across eastern Scandinavia.
At the beginning of the week, there will be no precipitation, but on Tuesday and Wednesday (May 7 and 8) precipitation is expected in the form of rain, turning into rain and snow. In the forecast for these days there is black ice, be careful on the roads! https://www.hmn.ru/index.php?index=1&ts=240506102525

Snow and complications in the Argentine Cordillera:
Note that 1 month before the norm there is already snow in the region:
–
Alert for snow and wind of up to 100 km/h in Neuquén and Río Negro, this Monday and Tuesday.
The National Meteorological Service (SMN) issued a new alert for snow and wind, for this Monday and Tuesday, in the Neuquén and Río Negro mountain range. According to forecasts, 70 centimeters of snow and gusts of up to 100 kilometers per hour are expected. Look at the affected areas and the worst times. https://www.rionegro.com.ar/sociedad/alerta-por-nieve-y-viento-en-neuquen-y-rio-negro-este-lunes-y-martes-las-zonas-afectadas-3561316/

A new increase in people imprisoned in Neuquén: resgatam six people who went to night on Rota 13.
The snow, which precedes winter, continues to cause complications in northern Patagonia, especially in the mountainous region of Neuquén and Río Negro. Along with the dated roads, this Saturday there was the rescue of six people who had to spend the night on two roads on Rota Provincial 13, between Villa Pehuenia and Zapala. https://www.rionegro.com.ar/region/la-nieve-suma-varados-en-neuquen-rescatan-a-seis-personas-que-pasaron-la-noche-en-la-ruta-13-3560482/
The cooling oceans will begin to absorb, not add to atmospheric concentrations of CO2. Covering 70% of the earth, it is a massive source or sink. If we get to net zero, which is a pipe dream in the next two centuries, the rate of biomass growth will decline along with a dropping average concentration.
At present agriculture benefits to the tune of a global average increase in net biomass production of +30% since 1980. That will disappear, and more if the cooling persists. A rapidly cooling Arctic will strengthen late season NH hurricanes. This is nothing to wish for and certainly nothing to work towards.
Cooling Arctic strengthen NH hurricanes is backwards. Hurricanes /Typhoons/cyclones are from heat rising. Convection. Take a fundermental grade school weather class. Don’t they teach anything in school anymore?
Snow in Flaggstaff, AZ yesterday. I do not recall this in my lifetime (born 1950) but a quick search shows June snow in 1907. I have personally seen snow in Prescott AZ on April 30. We have an usual pattern here in Phoenix AZ of warming & cooling- repeating far longer than I have ever seen in spring. I dispute a warming effect from Hunga Tonga, I say the temp records are suspect.
As a simple spectator/participant riding the Earth round and round every day, it seems to me that them that think they run things earthbound, are forgetting that the Sun and volcanoes are contributing much more to the atmospheric makeup than Net Zero can ever remove or accomplish. The ballyhooed Energy Transition just isn’t transitioning as required. The newly opened Trans Mountain Pipeline, shipping landlocked Alberta crude oil (bitumen) to tidewater in British Columbia for $34 billion, will now be complimented (complicated?) by a proposed $16.5 billion carbon-capture project. I believe that these carbon-capture, sequestration efforts are antithetical to human existence and will be seen to be a crime against humanity. With the predicted entry into a Grand Solar Minimum, on a Maunder Minimum level, by 2032, the last thing we need is wasting time and treasure on reducing our food supply capability. Does anybody out there agree with this? William Best in Vancouver BC
We did a renovation of Peace Arch Park at the US/Canada border crossing on the West Coast back in ’85 for Expo Vancouver. Spruce it up and the Sumas crossing. Six week job in the Spring it rained every day but 3. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peace_Arch_Park
Record warm forecast ere Friday from all the solar flares. Record was in 2020 during La Nina. July 2021 got so hot 800 dead NW US from heat during La Nina.
Solar flares forecast all Summer hitting the weak mag shield. Hot. Record hot/dry here last three Summers from solar flares. Our snowpack is at 60%. D. Soon to be F from solar flares. Looming hot Summer forecast with solar flares hitting the weak mag shield.
Cap – for us southern hemisphere people it would be appreciated if you avoided seasonal names and use calander months or at least add an NH or SH “(NH) spring”
Remember summer in Portugal is winter in Australia.
El nino here has a different weather result to El nino in USA.

The website was down for a few hours today (May 6) due to a PHP issue. All sorted now, fingers crossed. Thank you for your patience. Best, Cap.
Thank you for getting that fixed. I needed my “fix” of Electroverse!
So that’s what it was. I thought I got thrown off -a not uncommon occurrence -so I gave up trying to get back on.

I agree 100%.
The predicted entry into GSM on a Maunder Min level by 2032 part isn’t settled science.

Absolutely, Mr. Best. And we can apparently thank Hunga Tonga that we are already not 1 degree, or more, cooler globally.

Back to normal, thanx Cap.
Snow depth forecast for W Russia is nada. A flurry there is normal in a cold front of a giant heatwave from solar flares.
