I live 100 miles South of Vancouver and my grapes are doing great, my apples will need to be thinned. I have squash plants starting to bloom I started from seeds.
BC frozen grapes were East of the mountains. Vancouver is colder because the cold air comes down the Frasier River from E BC, eh? I wouldn’t live up in E BC, it’s too cold. Colder than E Washington I won’t live there because it’s too cold every year. You couldn’t pay me to live there winter or summer, it gets too hot.
That storm before the cold front was crazy. I used to live across the Island on those pics and worked at the Marina we had 30 rental boats. Towing in meat heads breaking shifter linkage or sailboats when the wind quit and the tide was going out.
East of the Rockies? I thought BC border ran in the mountains but I live in KY. NOW here in KY we planted LATE cuz of rain & COLD. So all Farmers need to think about what Eddy Minimum is and will do in the future .AND yes Cap Honga Tonga water is flooding our area…10+ inches in one day and we are already at HALF of our norm for the year(plus!).
Cascade Mtns, sir. Only 100 miles East of the Pacific Ocean. Rockies are in the next time zone.
Warmest above ave on the SST Anoms Map is NE of Hawaii all the way from Japan. There’s the warm air for the high pressure sending cool air down the Weast Coast. They call it the Blob. It’s warm air from solar flares
Another very warm area is N EU, UK and the Baltic. Also West of Africa where Hurricanes spawn. No cooling there. https://www.ospo.noaa.gov/data/cb/ssta/ssta.daily.current.png
Heat from solar flares is causing moisture to rise off the Gulf of Mexico and rain in Kentucky. Heat rises North. It’s over 100F in Mexico from solar flares every day this month. Gulf of Mexico is warmer than ave from solar flares. https://www.windy.com/-Menu/menu?temp,25.246,-92.623,5,i:pressure,m:elLadCL
Maybe those Welsh farmers who are required to plant at least 10% of their farmland in trees could have Scotland send some of the 16 million trees that they cut down to pave over the land with windmills.
The new NASA AI driven program might have a bit of a bad go of things, what with all of the historical data that has been either destroyed or changed beyond value to adhere to the agenda.

BC grapes froze in January and the gooberment is going to pay to plant further south because it was a stupid place to grow grapes it says on that article.
That was a bad cold front behind a big warm front that was from the biggest solar flare of the cycle at the time from a planetary alignment, an X 5. All the volcanos that had been erupting from flares were erupting from the big X 5 flare. This would be a good case study for such an epic event. First was the warm front from a major cyclone:

Then the cold front:

Today’s snow tip about Snoqualmie Pass not in the Rockies this is the Coast Range from Alaska to California. There’s volcanos about every hundred miles from Vancouver to San Diego. The ski area sites I link are on the volcanos, Mt Hood is a 10k ft active volcano. Mt Bachelor cam look out over a caldera of a active 10ft volcano. Crystal Mtn cam looks over at Mt Rainier 14k ft active volcano, Mt St Helens neighbor and big brother.
WW3 nukes will fire up all the volcanos and it will snow forever until everybody is dead. Great plan.

I bring my Zuke plants in at night, they’re in containers. I take them outside and move them during the day for the best sun. I was putting them on the dashboard in my car in the afternoon at first, I try to see they have the best day possible. Going to wait till June to plant them outside, too cloudy next week with showers. Yesterday I planted beets, turnips and carrots on the full moon schedule. There’s new spuds already the plants are over a foot tall, good color.

Toodles …
Big double solar flare at 00:00 UTC and another a bit later in a combined blast. It’s 17:00 UTC now and solar flares have been going since midnight UTC. Big filament eruption. Flares popping out everywhere all month all year.

That’s why Molly Dixon is in NE Oz, she went North for the Winter. Smart traveler.

There are cellphone cameras everywhere photographing bad weather that in the past never made the news.
