Anyway…here in Metcalfe County KY we saw the aurora perfectly. Our main aurora was a huge shaft running from the Northern horizon up to 1/2 way to straight above. And temps here have been 5-20 F lower than normal so Eddy is getting stronger…DAMN🤬

We had a fantastic show here – Central Alberta. Went outside at 00:15 (MST). It was so dark here in farmlands that we could not see our lawn-chairs to sit down. Suddenly just before 01:00, during the Aurora Borealis show, it was equivalent to the light at dusk. We could easily see across the yard and across the fields. It was a strange feeling experiencing the change of lighting all around us.
So Cap, when you say that the SUN lights up the whole planet, well it sure did Saturday morning, May 11, 2024. The sun was hours below the horizon, yet its CMEs caused the atmosphere to light up enough that we went from pitch black to bright-twilight. The blind will refuse to see, even if one rises from the dead to tell them, “it’s the Sun!”
