There’s NO warming from Hunga Tonga, how could there or the US Navy wouldn’t be trying to cool the planet by shooting salt crystals into the sky. What did Hunga Tonga eject into the sky- salt water. It has caused COOLING not warming.
The 2022 Hunga Tonga eruption sent massive amounts of water vapor into the stratosphere, increasing it by 10%. Water vapor is, by far, the strongest greenhouse gas, so this eruption makes the piddly increase in CO2 from .035% to .042% of our atmosphere over the last 90 years look like a drop in the ocean. We will feel the warming effects from Hunga Tonga for a few more years, and when the excess water vapor dissipates, the cooling will be noticeable indeed.

I’m considering taking up the practice of writing letters again. It was a common form of communication when I was young. We had landline phones, but long distance calls cost by the minute and could be very expensive. I used to write 20÷ page letters to my late husband in Vietnam.
Given that the UAH data set shows that the 1st 3 months of this year were marginally warmer than the last 3 months of last year I wouldn’t bet against this year as a whole being warmer than last year. It would take a very sharp drop in temperatures for this not to happen. Either way 2023 and 2024 will end up being the 2 warmest years on record, cue howls of delight from alarmists.
It’s likely Hunga Tonga is still having an effect on global temperatures although this should start decreasing fairly soon. If there’s a La Nina this year it won’t peak until November or as late as Feb 2025 so the full effects won’t be felt until next year. This is when I predict temperature anomalies to go below the 1991-2020 average and stay there for at least 6 months.
UAH GT went up in ’16 going into solar min. Record hot El Nino killed the food chain.It went up again in ’19 during solar min before Tonga. It never went below ave for any length of time indicating global cooling. Pretending it’s global cooling for over a decade. This is one of the places that the prevalence of divorce in our society hits hard. There are a lot of people going into old age all alone. It used to be easier when families were strong.

Atlantic O very warm, specially around EU, again. Indian Ocean warmer than ave, it’s 88F. Still in El Nino it warmed there Pacific O. Warm ocean down by Oz and Nz. Hot a fak in India, Africa, SE Asia. From solar flares.
