Warmth Is Good; + 46 ‘Climate Change Denying’ Statements Made By Former IPCC Scientists
Warmth Is Good
Cold should be our main cause for concern, it kills far more people than heat.
The number of winter deaths in Stirling, Scotland reached their highest-ever level in 2022-23. According to National Records of Scotland (NRS), between December 2022 and March 2023 there were 399 winter deaths. This is the highest number in available NRS data, besting the 387 deaths of 2020-21 during the height of the pandemic. The winter of 2022-23 was deadlier than the ‘COVID winter’ but nobody seemed to care.
Stirling is reflective of the broader picture across Scotland, but also globally. Annual global ‘cold deaths’ have risen from 1.4 million in 2008 to 1.7 million today, according to the OFDA/CRED International Disaster Database, and climbing. For comparison, global ‘heat deaths’ have risen from approximately 275,000 to 300,000 over the same period.
Other studies have calculated the disparity to be even greater. One recent Lancet study found that cold-related deaths exceed heat-related deaths by almost 10 to 1, with 4.6 million cold deaths annually vs 490,000 heat.
Whichever part of the world you look to, this is the pattern; whether it be Africa (1 million vs 25,000); Asia (2.4 million vs 230,000), Europe (655,000 vs 178,000); or North America; (171,000 vs 20,000) — cold is the cause for concern, not heat.
It is estimated there are more than 10 million species on Earth, more than at any other time in history.
New species are always replacing old ones, and although humans are responsible for the extinction of a handful in recent centuries, extinctions have always been a part of life. More than 99.9% of all species that ever lived are now extinct.
Plants and animals thrive in warm climates. Warming is good for life, undeniably so. This is evidenced by the fact tropical forests cover less than 12% of all land yet contain the vast majority of plant and animal species, whereas the Arctic covers a similar proportion of the planet (10%) but contains only 600 plant species, only 100 species of birds, and just 20 mammals (no reptiles or amphibians).
The Greta Thunbergs of the world turn a blind eye to the connection between warm climates and increased biodiversity by claiming that the secondary effects of global warming, such as droughts, storms and melting planetary ice, threaten life as we know it. However, droughts and storms are not increasing and, on a planetary scale, the ice is not melting.
The data reveal that Antarctica, home to 90% of Earth’s freshwater, is actually cooling which means that all its water, locked up as ice, isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
While at the Arctic, sea ice extent there is currently at its highest level in many years, above the 2011-20 average even. Moreover, even if the Arctic was to melt entirely –which it shows no signs of doing– any increase to sea levels would be negligible. The Arctic, unlike Antarctica, has no land beneath it, it is a giant floating ice cube, and like ice cubes in a cup of water, melting them doesn’t change the water level.
There is a very negligible rise due to this being freshwater added to saltwater (freshwater being a little less dense) but NASA say the difference is “minimal,” contributing just 1 millimetre to sea levels since 1994.
Polar Bears
Not so long ago it was feared polar bears would soon die out, that melting ice would leave them with no place to live.
However, according to conservative population estimates by the US Fish and Wildlife Service, these majestic creatures have almost tripled in number since the late-1960s, from 12,000 individuals back then to more than 32,000 as of 2023, as per the latest surveys.
46 ‘Climate Change Denying’ Statements Made By Former IPCC Scientists
Below is an enlightening list of comments made by former IPCC contributors after cutting ties with the politicized body, i.e. scientists no longer at risk of professional repercussions.
Dr Robert Balling: The IPCC notes that “No significant acceleration in the rate of sea level rise during the 20th century has been detected.” This did not appear in the IPCC Summary for Policymakers.
Dr Lucka Bogataj: “Rising levels of airborne carbon dioxide don’t cause global temperatures to rise…. temperature changed first and some 700 years later a change in aerial content of carbon dioxide followed.”
Dr John Christy: “Little known to the public is the fact that most of the scientists involved with the IPCC do not agree that global warming is occurring. Its findings have been consistently misrepresented and/or politicized with each succeeding report.”
Dr Rosa Compagnucci: “Humans have only contributed a few tenths of a degree to warming on Earth. Solar activity is a key driver of climate.”
Dr Richard Courtney: “The empirical evidence strongly indicates that the anthropogenic global warming hypothesis is wrong.”
Dr Judith Curry: “I’m not going to just spout off and endorse the IPCC because I don’t have confidence in the process.”
Dr Robert Davis: “Global temperatures have not been changing as state of the art climate models predicted they would. Not a single mention of satellite temperature observations appears in the IPCC Summary for Policymakers.”
Dr Willem de Lange: “In 1996 the IPCC listed me as one of approximately 3000 “scientists” who agreed that there was a discernible human influence on climate. I didn’t. There is no evidence to support the hypothesis that runaway catastrophic climate change is due to human activities.”
Dr Chris de Freitas: “Government decision-makers should have heard by now that the basis for the long-standing claim that carbon dioxide is a major driver of global climate is being questioned; along with it the hitherto assumed need for costly measures to restrict carbon dioxide emissions. If they have not heard, it is because of the din of global warming hysteria that relies on the logical fallacy of ‘argument from ignorance’ and predictions of computer models.”
Dr Oliver Frauenfeld: “Much more progress is necessary regarding our current understanding of climate and our abilities to model it.”
Dr Peter Dietze: “Using a flawed eddy diffusion model, the IPCC has grossly underestimated the future oceanic carbon dioxide uptake.”
Dr John Everett: “It is time for a reality check. The oceans and coastal zones have been far warmer and colder than is projected in the present scenarios of climate change. I have reviewed the IPCC and more recent scientific literature and believe that there is not a problem with increased acidification, even up to the unlikely levels in the most-used IPCC scenarios.”
Dr Eigil Friis-Christensen: “The IPCC refused to consider the sun’s effect on the Earth’s climate as a topic worthy of investigation. The IPCC conceived its task only as investigating potential human causes of climate change.”
Dr Lee Gerhard: “I never fully accepted or denied the anthropogenic global warming concept until the furore started after NASA’s James Hansen’s wild claims in the late 1980s. I went to the [scientific] literature to study the basis of the claim, starting with first principles. My studies then led me to believe that the claims were false.”
Dr Indur Goklany: “Climate change is unlikely to be the world’s most important environmental problem of the 21st century. There is no signal in the mortality data to indicate increases in the overall frequencies or severities of extreme weather events, despite large increases in the population at risk.”
Dr Vincent Gray: “The [IPCC] climate change statement is an orchestrated litany of lies.”
Dr Mike Hulme: “Claims such as ‘2500 of the world’s leading scientists have reached a consensus that human activities are having a significant influence on the climate’ are disingenuous … The actual number of scientists who backed that claim was only a few dozen.”
Dr Kiminori Itoh: “There are many factors which cause climate change. Considering only greenhouse gases is nonsense and harmful.”
Dr Yuri Izrael: “There is no proven link between human activity and global warming. I think the panic over global warming is totally unjustified. There is no serious threat to the climate.”
Dr Steven Japar: “Temperature measurements show that the climate model-predicted mid-troposphere hot zone is non-existent. This is more than sufficient to invalidate global climate models and projections made with them.”
Dr Georg Kaser: “This number [of receding glaciers reported by the IPCC] is not just a little bit wrong, it is far out by any order of magnitude … It is so wrong that it is not even worth discussing.”
Dr Aynsley Kellow: “I’m not holding my breath for criticism to be taken on board, which underscores a fault in the whole peer review process for the IPCC: there is no chance of a chapter [of the IPCC report] ever being rejected for publication, no matter how flawed it might be.”
Dr Madhav Khandekar: “I have carefully analysed adverse impacts of climate change as projected by the IPCC and have discounted these claims as exaggerated and lacking any supporting evidence.”
Dr Hans Labohm: “The alarmist passages in the IPCC Summary for Policymakers have been skewed through an elaborate and sophisticated process of spin-doctoring.”
Dr Andrew Lacis: “There is no scientific merit to be found in the Executive Summary. The presentation sounds like something put together by Greenpeace activists and their legal department.”
Dr Chris Landsea: “I cannot in good faith continue to contribute to a process that I view as both being motivated by pre-conceived agendas and being scientifically unsound.”
Dr Richard Lindzen: “The IPCC process is driven by politics rather than science. It uses summaries to misrepresent what scientists say and exploits public ignorance.”
Dr Harry Lins: “Surface temperature changes over the past century have been episodic and modest and there has been no net global warming for over a decade now. The case for alarm regarding climate change is grossly overstated.”
Dr Philip Lloyd: “I am doing a detailed assessment of the IPCC reports and the Summaries for Policy Makers, identifying the way in which the Summaries have distorted the science. I have found examples of a summary saying precisely the opposite of what the scientists said.”
Dr Martin Manning: “Some government delegates influencing the IPCC Summary for Policymakers misrepresent or contradict the lead authors.”
Steven McIntyre: “The many references in the popular media to a ‘consensus of thousands of scientists’ are both a great exaggeration and also misleading.”
Dr Patrick Michaels: “The rates of warming, on multiple time scales, have now invalidated the suite of IPCC climate models. No, the science is not settled.”
Dr Nils-Axel Morner: “If you go around the globe, you find no sea level rise anywhere.”
Dr Johannes Oerlemans: “The IPCC has become too political. Many scientists have not been able to resist the siren call of fame, research funding and meetings in exotic places that awaits them if they are willing to compromise scientific principles and integrity in support of the man-made global-warming doctrine.”
Dr Roger Pielke: “All of my comments were ignored without even a rebuttal. At that point, I concluded that the IPCC Reports were actually intended to be advocacy documents designed to produce particular policy actions, but not a true and honest assessment of the understanding of the climate system.”
Dr Paul Reiter: “As far as the science being ‘settled,’ I think that is an obscenity. The fact is the science is being distorted by people who are not scientists.”
Dr Murry Salby: “I have an involuntary gag reflex whenever someone says the science is settled. Anyone who thinks the science is settled on this topic is in fantasia.”
Dr Tom Segalstad: “The IPCC global warming model is not supported by the scientific data.”
Dr Fred Singer: “Isn’t it remarkable that the Policymakers Summary of the IPCC report avoids mentioning the satellite data altogether, or even the existence of satellites — probably because the data show a slight cooling over the last 18 years, in direct contradiction of the calculations from climate models?”
Dr Hajo Smit: “There is clear cut solar-climate coupling and a very strong natural variability of climate on all historical time scales. Currently I hardly believe anymore that there is any relevant relationship between human CO2 emissions and climate change.”
Dr Richard Tol: “The IPCC attracted more people with political rather than academic motives. In AR4, green activists held key positions in the IPCC and they succeeded in excluding or neutralizing opposite voices.”
Dr Tom Tripp: “There is so much of a natural variability in weather it makes it difficult to come to a scientifically valid conclusion that global warming is man made.”
Dr Gerd-Rainer Weber: “Most of the extremist views about climate change have little or no scientific basis.”
Dr David Wojick: “The public is not well served by this constant drumbeat of alarms fed by computer models manipulated by advocates.”
Dr Miklos Zagoni: “I am positively convinced that the anthropogenic global warming theory is wrong.”
Dr Eduardo Zorita: “Editors, reviewers and authors of alternative studies, analysis, interpretations, even based on the same data we have at our disposal, have been bullied and subtly blackmailed.”
The global warming theory is being unraveled by many of the same researchers formerly charged with its promotion. But with the baton continually passed to the next generation of duped university graduates—thoroughly schooled by AGW Party doctrines—the same old climate yarns are forever repackaged and resold to the next generation of naive citizenry.
We’ve got to ride this global warming issue.
Timothy Wirth, Former President of the UN Foundation
Even if the theory of global warming is wrong,
we will be doing the right thing in terms of
economic and environmental policy.
thank you Cap
This is a recent cast from Tony Heller. An abrupt departure from scientific
opinion occurred in the early 1980’s.
Truth or coverup & why. I think they are planning for the elites to occupy the equatorial
regions. Everyone else they are setting up for
a parade of disasters and conflict. We need organization.

We need to expose the fraudulent so-called scientists with evidence. The so-called peer-reviewed papers must also be revealed. Also revealing the purchasing and withdrawal of articles by journals such as Science. Morano’s book is deadly for all fraudulent scientists who do everything you want to hear or read for money. This is the largest professional group that not only causes a lot of damage in the climate debate, but also very harmful on other themes. How about the ecologists.
What fascinated me is that people take their words as FACT yet all they have to do is look at the greatest reference Library in Human History…the INTERNET.The more knowledge available the number people become…cuz they are to lazy to investigate with just one FINGER.
having a beer and watching rihanna or a soccer or basketball game while eating chinese pork and printed potato chips is much easier and less tortuous; and frankly I understand them because opening pandora’s box is tricky and even dangerous for your mental equilibrium you don’t get out of the matrix system, you only get out with your feet first and to enter another matrix that’s certainly worse.
This viewpoint saddens me. It’s the perspective of one who does not know God.
It takes some effort to maintain the spiritual perspective, because after all, we live in physical bodies, and the world is always trying to pull us back into its perspective, which is pointless and hopeless, but God will reach out His hand to pull you back close to Him –IF you believe in Him. It’s a bit of a rollercoaster ride sometimes.
Unfortunately it’s become increasingly harder to find “climate sceptic” information online. Unless you have a pretty good idea what you’re looking for and the exact words to type into a search engine any general search will only produce results linking to sites that promote alarmist views as the algorithms used by most search engines have been written to make sure these are the results that appear.

The elite very well knows whats coming on their way around 2046 and are misusing the present to depopulate the whole world and are building nervously shelters to evade the 12068 year disaster that is visiting our planetary disc around the sun . OUR SUN WILL NOVA AND ITS CONSEQUENCES WILL BE DIRE HERE ON EARTH ! Suggest you look into the findings of the late Douglas Vogt , who made it his lifes mission to revelate the bitter truth to the world .
is this what you mean:

The rich built WW3 bunkers, have to survive that to see weak SC26 GSM cool temps.

What qualifies as a cold death? Anybody who expires between Halloween and Easter no matter of what? Not sure I get the definition and how all these people are dying of coldness.
Cold causes our blood vessels to constrict to save heat. That causes our blood pressure to increase causing many more strokes and heart attacks in the cooler months than in the warmer months.

Also, the days are shorter in the cooler months, causing a decrease in the efficacy of the immune system, definitely a factor in death rates.
Big screen TVs with Christmas commercials eating junk food and drinking beer watching football. Thermostat on 70F.
If they went outside for a walk in the cool air with more oxygen it would boost health. Christmas season itself causes a lot of the stress the commercials start in October and all the shopping and traveling when it’s the worst time of the year to do so. Then everybody gathers to spread whatever version of germs they have. Also GEOMAG effects with the weakened mag shield on an out of shape general population.
Snowing now at Mt Hood, Crystal and Mt Bachelor. 42F here at 6am so up at 7000 ft it’s snowlevel. Still getting SO2 from Kamchatka and still a lot of residual PM2.5 from volcanos from solar flares.

Skiing the Ridge down off Chair six one day the wind stopped us like a wall and we had to hang on to tree branches to not get tumbled up hill. I used to ski storms, that’s when the snow is best. When they built Chair Six it was a dream come true. Check out the Trail Map top bowl on the left side:

Just looking at all those ski runs makes my knees hurt, lol.
That sunrise shot is gorgeous! Is that Mt St Helens in the background?
So what would you call these –music for the eyes? You’re doing it again, aren’t you? I don’t mind, but the whole thing makes me sad. Seems like everything makes me sad these days. I’m so tired of losing people and beloved animals and hope for the future.
Grief is another factor that affects the immune system. Also depression. These happen more in the winter than summer. Temperature is not a causal factor for those, but rather they all have their roots in the shorter day length.
Too many variables unaccounted for in that study.
Muslim year ends at 1500 – We now are about 1445- When the Alignment of the big planets reaches climax in the year 2080 (1.22.2080)we’ve had it! that much gravitational pull from Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus while we are directly on the opposite of vector between sun.
