Hey I want a better job done here on some of the statistics about all the growing glaciers. There are at least 3,100 glaciers that are growing (many surging). I wish they’d produce a list of where these glaciers are please!
The scientific paper provided summary descriptions of where the glaciers that are surging are located. You will have to pay for the actual paper to find out the specific locations.
There are no glaciers near where I live. That being the case, I shall watch from afar.

(The glaciers were supposed to be gone from Glacier National Park by 2020. They erected signs saying just that, then removed them in 2017)
I wonder if they are now among the “surging”. Then they should put up signs that say, “Beware of surging glaciers”.
LOL I feel I could out walk a surging glacier.
But, having never been in front of one, I will heed your warning.

—Per this article (and Cap’s previous columns), the Earth simply got lucky in a couple of recent solar events that could have damaged or even crippled our fragile electric infrastructure.
Similarly, the just past massive US storm pulses could have shut down electricity in large regions of the country. Only some favorable tilts of various factors allowed these regions to “dodge a bullet.” If the green fanatics continue to deliberately sabotage all things energy, the next mega-storm may be much more deadly.
