I really enjoy your posts but I must question your comments (not the facts) on Australia’s weather this week.
Winter starts here next week & the historic start of the ski season is the second weekend in June. So the present weather is far from unexpected based on what I have experienced in the last 80 years living in Melbourne.
We have had the most wonderful autumn but the temperature must drop at some time!

Exactly. He has no clue about the Australian climate and what’s normal or abnormal for us. Australia is a lot colder and snowier than most people imagine in their heads… it used to snow in Wagga Wagga for god’s sake.
Cap, you know that CO2 is plant food, right? And that the atmosphere only has 0.04% CO2 right now and we are in a CO2 Drought? The Planet is suffering from a lack of CO2.

The elite parasites have grown fat and rich off that LIE, while many poor people DIE because of that LIE. In England 8,700 Elderly folks froze to death in their homes winter of 2021-22 because they were too poor to afford the astronomically inflated price of a cheap and reliable fuel.
The people controlling our Planet are always happy to see a large decrease in the population though, so they were thrilled. Less pensions to pay out, less health care to cover,…..less USELESS EATERS.

The amount of Coal alone in the Lower 48 is enuf to heat/power America for over 400 yrs at the present use. And Oil reserves KNOWN are enuf for PLUS 200 years. By than HOPEFYULLY we will have Deuterium Cold Fusion reactors and wont need Coal/natgas for electricity. To make Steel, aluminum and other metals we will still need Coal.

In the last 50 years I have seen Colorado, Arizona and California turn from beautiful thriving states to toilet states I would never want to live in. Still sea ice in Nome, it’s only May. Sea level temp is 31F, don’t fall in there is zero life expectancy. Down South on the coast in Dillingham the sea level temp is 37F in the Bering Sea. It’s shallower and cooler away from the Pacific O. Jim here up by Wetaskiwin – in the country. We had frost Saturday night. Just came in off the tractor…drizzling rain and feels like 3C. I have been keeping records out here in the countryside from my farming brothers, and it is truly evident that the trend is going cooler and winter-spring cool, longer into spring-summer. The wide swings of the jet stream sure are visible.

Was 92 F (about 33 C) today down on the northern TX Gulf Coast. And the next 7-10 days should all be 92-95 F. So I guess summer is here. At least some of us have gotten the electricity restored after the wind storm that went through Houston last Thursday–92 F plus humidity for days on end with no electricity is not fun, especially for the elderly.

Hi – for the record – central east coast of Australia (Bundaberg) – last 3 have been the coldest nights yet at around +11 deg C but expected to warm up tonight.
Basically as the season advances towards winter the max and min temps slowly decline. No dramas here. It is a subtropical, coastal climate. Only issue now is no rain.

The temperature fell to 3C in Calgary last night, and not much more than 11C today. We are still waiting for Spring here.

We are waiting for spring here in Missouri, too. We’ve had summer for the last two months.

You can see Jupiter coming out from behind the Sun and Venus just to the right because they are in alignment on this sat loop of a giant Halo solar flare on the other side of the sun this morning from the same sunspot as last week on this side.
The flare split the gap between all the other planets lined up in a V formation.
