G’dat Cap, Thanks for the updated SC25.
Have you noted the hyperventilating and pompous narrative permeating the media these days? We no longer expect rain, it is now precipitation and every thing is now qualified as an “Event”. But wait it is getting better we now have “Bombs” and in Sydney a Cyclone Bomb (it exploded apparently.
The term “bomb” may be somewhat controversial. When European researchers protested that it was a rather warlike term, Fred Sanders, the coauthor of the paper which introduced the meteorological usage quipped: “So why are you using the term ‘front’?”[
A cold dawn paints the Serra Catarinense white after negative temperatures.
Very cold this Wednesday (July 2), the Serra Catarinense begins the month of July, typical of winter, where the cold began to make its presence felt in the Serra Catarinense. For the second day, the region woke up under an icy spectacle, transforming the landscape into a true postcard. With temperatures below 0ºC. With -10.1°C in São Joaquim.

-Where I live (Curitiba) today: total cloudy and humid. Min: 5°C Max: 7°C
Note: There is no public heating here, there are only small heaters, now indoors 11°C here now 10pm.
Curitiba has cold winters to Brazil standards .. I’m from Rio where usually is hot year around, but since 2021 winters are unusually cold, this year since March it become colder than normal.
If your climate actually gets colder and stays colder, you will get used to it and learn to live with it. Whatever that level of cold is, there are lots of people living with it right now. The human species is very adaptable. If you don’t believe me, ask Mr Googlepedia or Mr Roboto.

0C makes it sound really cold, until I remember that’s only 32F! It’s all relative.
