Antarctica is locking into winter fast this year—and has never been colder in the month of March (observations back to ~1957).

  1. -105.5 is so cold Witches points went to Florida!!!
Now This, to me, means that the Eddy Minimum is gaining strength ie getting colder faster. I felt it would take a decade to get to this point…I am wrong.
So Deb its 70F outside what’s it like in MO?!?
Nice I hope. We don’t want our Resident First Lady to be in a bad way!
HI everybody and STAY SAFE…Leave the big cities!😁😂❤️

  2. But it’ll be warmer in the cities due to the heat island effect. Maybe I’ll go back — if it ever drops below 80F here again.

          1. I feign ignorance so you can remain in your comfort zone and it gives me dumb entertainment.

So, pointless asking about the pengwings.
            Good luck.

  3. My Facebook news feed randomly plays videos. The ones thar are ‘popular’ at the moment. Today I got the Electroverse video about the early seasonal cold in Antarctica. I forwarded it to play on my page and also hit the ‘follow’ button for the EV videos.

  4. Is there any history or record of increased periods of the SSWs occurring during grand solar minimums? I suppose there’s no way to find precise SSW data preceding the last major ice age, ~120,000 years ago.

  5. Oh no! Please, please tell me about the “pengwings”! I can’t stand it if you don’t! (Sarc)

(I debated about the hint. I know you don’t need it, but others may not be as fortunate. Not mentioning any names, but rhymes with Stinky.)

(I accidentally bounced this comment to the bottom of the page and don’t know how to bounce it back up, but you’ll find it I’m sure. In fact, you’re awfully clever for a lobotomized individual. Oops, did it again!)

  6. I know I should at least pay lip service to the weather/climate on this site, but honestly, it’s just too disturbing! We have gone from rollercoaster weather (normal) here in mid Missouri to yo-yo weather (not very normal) . This week alone, it’s 90F today but getting down to 31F some night soon. I don’t know whether to plant palm trees or try to raise pengwings!
