Antarctica’s Second-Coldest December On Record; Lapland Sets An All-Time Record Low; Europe And North America To Freeze; Delhi Logs Another ‘Cold Day’; + Strangely-Magnetized Sunspot

If this strange magnetization persists, more strong flaring will be in the offing — and as the large spot turns to face Earth, no less.

  1. Hurricane N Pacific last night at 1 AM the Low Pressure just South of Unalaska Alaska. Wind gusting 90mph, waves 45 feet every 14 seconds. Barometer 27.85″.
My barometer doesn’t go that low, these are not just average cyclones. The next one in line goes just a bit N of Unalaska Sunday night into the Bering Sea, winds gusting 85mph, wind chop 32 feet every 12 seconds, barometer 28.1″. Cyclones from Kamchatka volcanos and others from solar flares from planetary alignments, one after another after another for years now. Same pattern, different year.

    1. A storm rolling down the BC Coast from Alaska forecast to hit here NW US Friday night Saturday morning bringing heavy lowland rain heavy mountain snow. Saturday morning would be great powder skiing if you can get up there before the roads close from wrecks.
Run the Windy.com SO2 map out to Friday you can see the plume from Kamchatka going under the cyclone in Alaska right to here. Snow forecast all the way across the US next ten days and even down into Mexico.

      1. Bonjour merci pour votre réponse mais j’ai déjà essayé, je renseigne mes identifiants mais il ne me reconnaît pas alors que je suis bien inscrit.

  2. From Western Pennsylvania, Looking forward to some snow, The wood stove is all ready, The old time coffee peculator is ready to go. The emergency pizza will arrive Saturday evening.

  3. Selling our house. Prospective buyer asked why the wood stove was out so far in the room. And could it be removed. I wrote back to the agent lengthy explanation of code, distance from walls, fact that you cannot insert the wood burner into the prefab fireplace and run a tube up the prefab chimney. Won’t pass code. Then I explained heat pumps stop at 40 degrees, and go to electric resistance. all that, plus why I also had heat pump PLUS wood, PLUS LP gas vented wall furnaces. Some people believe in global warming. Unfortunately. Let them freeze their buttz off. Thanks for the rant.

  4. El Nino ONI number for Dec ’23 went up another notch. Same with sunspots and flux:

TCI was about the same even though there were the two biggest solar flares of the cycle. I’m just waiting on the UAH GT update, Up, same or down?

It’s calling for snow here in my yard and mid teens. NE wind right out of the Arctic. Yikes.
EU also getting a cold snap, a Low forming over Etna volcano, no cyclone S of Iceland, cold air going into the Low down over most of EU, snow too. Here we go.
