6 Thoughts to “Canberra’s First Freezing Summer Temp On Record; Northern China To -42.7C; Winter Arrives In North America; + Extinctions Are Slowing — New Study”
Well you just don’t hear a lot of chatter about the science being settled this morning do you? Last word I got from Punxsutawney Phil was, I’m getting the hell out of here!
If only there was was someplace left to run to. When I was young, “deepest, darkest Africa” was still a thing, the epitome of the mysterious unexplored. Now the satellites can probably see every square inch of the earth. Except for the bottom of the oceans. Not a great place to hide out, though.
It’s so terrible.
The plants are stressed by too many nutrients and toxins.
The nutrients and toxins end up in the groundwater used by the residents for drinking water.
The residents are stressed by the large flow of information from the AI and all the toxins that are in their food and water.
The stress makes the residents sick and their immune systems run amok.
When the immune system runs amok, the sensitivity to electromagnetic hypersensitivity increases and even more people get sick. https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-features/data-center-water-pollution-amazon-oregon-1235466613/
One concrete thing to slow down animal extinctions: Don’t buy parts from poached elephants, rhinos, etc. (e.g. ivory) – not reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Another concrete thing to slow down animal extinctions: Donate to wildlife protection organizations, nature-oriented land trusts, and the like – again, not reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
“Donate to wildlife protection organizations, nature-oriented land trusts, and the like – again, not reduce greenhouse gas emissions.”
Be careful about who you donate to. Defenders of Wildlife claims to have a habitat conservancy program. When I requested info, they replied they didn’t have any they could provide. There biggest approach to “conservation” is filing lawsuits to prohibit access to wilderness areas to hikers and campers.
Then there’s the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation that works with private individuals and their state government to set aside property as a conservancy. So for? Over 6 MILLION acres set aside. That’s more acreage than the entire Yellowstone Park. They have even run their own programs to reintroduce elk back to native lands in the eastern US where they have not been seen for over 150 years.
Check out who you want to give to closely. Many are nothing more than a political scam that don’t do much for wildlife, they just post scare articles like “Polar bears are dying, give us money” when in fact the population has increased.

Research shows no mass extinction is taking place.
Somewhat unexpectedly, the researchers found that in the last 200 years, there was no evidence for increasing extinction from climate change.
“That does not mean that climate change is not a threat,” Wiens said. “It just means that past extinctions do not reflect current and future threats.”
