The weather is weird also here in Tallahassee, north Florida. Summers usually see a rainy season. August sees 5 to 10 inches of rain. Usually, the rainy season dwindles in spirts around early September and often even into the middle of October, there are periods of tropical showers.
Not this year! Around the middle of August, fall began! The winds were from the North, and all cloud movement was from a northern vector. Still is that way even on September 24th! Dry dry dry. Tallahassee is entering a drought!
In other words, late October is now here, but with warmer temperatures as the sun is still fairly high in latitude.
Fall, here, seems to come earlier and earlier every year!
As the cowboys used to say, especially in Texas, late October being here already, is a little previous.
As Earth’s axial tilt is reducing, seasons times will change subtly.
Tallahassee is North of the Tropic Of Cancer.

Thanks for posting your note. It will be so interesting to see how things are 10 years from now. I enjoy warm better than cold!
Give us a couple/three years…or maybe less to see if the cooling trend continues more or less linearly or if interruptions occur.
My N Alabama location had a mild summer with only a couple of short hot spikes. August below normal, seems the same for September.
Trump gave ’em hell lol. They made him irritable what with messing with the escalator and the teleprompter and he let it rip!
