If Bill Gates‘ plan to block the Sun’s rays from reaching Earth wasn’t already insane enough, a team of scientists is now planning to help his efforts with a new “geoengineering technique” to completely dehydrate the stratosphere, stripping it of all its water vapor.
Water vapor is important to Earth. Not only does it trap heat from the Sun, making the planet liveable, but its complex molecules also absorb heat radiated from Earth’s surface, re-radiating it back to the planet.

For the first time in more than twenty years, the ruling elite’s stranglehold on the nation’s power structures threatens to collapse. Simultaneously, ambitious mandarins in big tech, high finance, big law, and the administrative bureaucracy vie for supremacy in the face of a power vacuum that grows with Biden’s deteriorating mental faculties. Meanwhile, millions of ordinary Americans seek a common political principle around which to organize a coherent defense of their way of life. 2024 is shaping up to be the year in which the existing balance of power between these two groups is consolidated or upended. 2024 will be the year that the new based Americans finally join the battle against the established ruling elite and its regime mandarins.
I don’t know if there enough Americans to win in November – with enough votes and with votes that are properly tallied, but maybe it will be so.
We need more state legislatures and Secs. of State to do their duties in assuring properly conducted elections. Also, as touched on in the article, we need more of the Elon Musk rich/tech types to put their resources and intellect into combating propaganda and voter fraud.
Full eclipse in a few weeks, lotta hype about that on the internet. There’s also a big planetary alignment that date that has potential for increased solar activity: Mercury/Sun/Venus/Saturn, while Mercury is going into retrograde with Earth. Then Mercury goes by us the next week. There’s more alignments the rest of April then May and all year with more solar flares.

Never got the chance to do much downhill skiing, but I was an avid skater until my knees gave out.
I braved some bad weather to go to the rink in Henderson, NV one evening. I was the only skater on the floor, but the guys in the booth kept the music going for the entire session. I never stopped once. It was a zen experience, and it’s one of my most treasured.
I wanna tuck that hill on the Mt Bach cam on some 220cm skis. Straight down, full tuck position. Maximum speed. My brother is bigger and stronger and younger and way smarter but he never beat me. I could fly. Deep, steep powder was the best though, in avalanche chutes. I was an instructor before St Helens went off and Pinatubo. We seen some snow, this ain’t squat. It’s El Nino. pffft. The little “comets” look like they are traveling east and south, but the plume is going west and north. Part of it, anyway. How does that work?

The little “comets” are particle animation, you can unclick those and the pressure isobars above the index. They show direction and velocity at lower elevations but the upper elevations are going a different direction into the jet stream.
Switch to wind speed, NW wind along Greenland gusting 83mph around the Low . Cold air sinking. The wind is SE off UK, heat rising. The plume is going around the Low going back into itself but some is up in elevation going into the jet stream over Norway into Russia around the High pressure area there.

I’m so glad I got to travel while I was young enough to enjoy it, and deal with the rigors.
Btw, beautiful cam shots. In a happier world, I would be out there painting those sunrises in the mountains.
