17 Thoughts to “Winter Arrives In Northern Japan; Early Snow Continues Across Himachal’s Peaks; + Early Snow Deepens Across Mongolia As “Dzud” Fears Grow”
yes they do. There was an international agreement about balancing the directions rockets tested while strapped to the ground had to be balanced with the amount of thrust fired in each direction as there had been a small measurable change in the length of the day because most tests were fired in one direction through the 60’s and into the early 80s.
Had a discussion about this with a Lockheed engineer in the Denver area where the Atlas and Titan boosters were designed and built.
Sam- Not doubting your word, but I’m confused about what’s going on with rockets strapped to the ground.
Even so, while CME’s are large compared to the earth, they are small compared to the sun and besides, they shoot off in every direction from the sun, so I fall to see how they could be making much difference in the location of the sun.
Interesting about the rockets, though. Have there been any studies on the effects of AI farts? It would be great if we could come up with a viable excuse to shut those suckers down. 😃
Deb the power difference between the most powerful Earth rocket is pitiful compared to the Suns power.
The Earth can fit in a Sunspot now think of a Class MAX coronal mass ejection!
In straight English the Sun rules the Solar System by its power…even Mighty Jupiter is a puissant compared to the Sun.
Stay warn tonite its supposed to be 32F in South Central KY tonite. BBBRRRRRR🥶❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
Waygone – I can’t understand why you seem to be having colder weather in Kentucky than we are in Missouri. Our forecast for tonight is only 46F, no frost in sight for the next week. Kentucky is still south of Missouri, isn’t it?
The time is always correct in the UK.
Countries east of the UK are always ahead in time.
Countries west of the UK are always behind in time:
Time in countries to the east of the Prime Meridian is always in front of that in the UK.
Time in countries to the west of the Prime Meridian is always behind that of the UK. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zjk46v4#zfp6trd
Faster than I thought it would happen.
32F tonite meaning FREEZE.
It is a month and a half early so bundle up WE Old Folks and keep the Home Fire cookin’!😁🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶
A major problem for livestock in places like Mongolia is a partial thaw of lying snow followed by a refreeze that creates a hard icy layer that animals can’t break in order to reach grass, whereas they can dig through fairly large depths of soft snow. Therefore it’s possible that natural climate change is making things worse because a weak jet stream allows warm air to push north more often resulting in temporary melting and more frequent icy layers in the snow pack. Given how early significant snowfall has happened this year a rise in temperature and melt/freeze cycle becomes far more likely, leading to problems later in the winter.
Do CMEs (Corona Mass Ejections) act like rocket engines pushing the sun?
If CMEs act like rocket engines pushing the sun, can CMEs change the orbits of planets around the sun?
What is the difference between the force of a CME and the gravitational force that holds the planets in their orbits?:
October 22, 2025. Strong solar activity continues on the far side of our sun. This time ejecta was seen coming out from the solar south pole horizon.

Do rocket engines push the earth when rockets take off? Probably as little as makes no difference.
In other words, when AI farts, does it push the robot across the floor?

When a butterfly flaps it’s wings, does that cause a hurricane 200 miles away 2 years later. (Happer on Rogan)
If Spinkette was to place a thrust nozzle over a CME the sun might then come over and singe us. Medium rare.
If it did, we’d have a new hurricane every five minutes!

Moffin-
You Down Under Time Thief! We’re short 3 hours in the till now. You seem like a nice guy, despite your penchant for embezzlement.
I sure hope you’re not going to make me come down there and bring our Time back to the NH. I’m going to give you another chance to do the right thing.

Hi Debit.
Theres a big lump under my carpet where i have swept all the extra daylight hours.
When Jane Goodall died I watched an episode of ‘Lancelot Link-secret ape’.
I had to look that up. I’ve never heard of it before, although I watched a lot of TV in the 70’s. I wonder if that’s due to the Mandele effect?
The lump is under the rug on yer head, Muffin!
Un is right. Everything is due to climate change. But it changes to colder!
Faster than I thought it would happen.
